About Us

Northern Lights Writers of Minnesota (NLW)

A chapter of the Romance Writers of America (RWA), with meetings located in the Twin Cities north metro area of Minnesota.

Meetings are held on the third Monday of every month from 6pm to 7:30pm CST. Guests aged 18 and over are welcome.

The chapter was formed in 2002 for the purpose of advancing the professional interests of career-focused writers through networking, information, education, and support for writers within the romance publishing industry.

New Members

NLW is happy to accept new members to our ranks. Potential members can attend two meetings to see if they are interested in joining our group, at that point they will need to decide to become a member or not. If so, they will need to join the National group – RWA; and then NLW; both require annual dues.

NLW Board handles most of the day-to-day business, which allows for a shorter business meeting and more time for the scheduled program.
