Denise Meinstad, President

Denise Meinstad, writing as Denise Devine, is a USA Today bestselling author who has had a passion for books since the second grade when she discovered Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder. She wrote her first book, a mystery, at age thirteen and has been writing ever since.  


Elyse Lawry, Secretary

Elyse Lawrey, a.k.a. Maddie LeSage. I have been a member of RWA since 2006 and joined Northern Lights Writers in 2009. I write Romantic Suspense stories which I like to call, “Romance with a twist.” My short story, “Writer’s Block” was published as part of NLW’s “Kiss or Kill Under the Northern Lights, Vol 2.” I have Bachelor degrees in English and American Indian Studies from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.

I live in Duluth, MN, have one daughter and one grandson who also live in Duluth.
